A free, supportive call to explore next steps.

You’ve been through a lot, and you’re tired of being asked to push through or explain it all.

  • What you’re looking for now is support that walks alongside you — without trying to “fix it”

  • You need space for regulation, rest, and emotional expression.

  • You don’t have the words for everything you’ve carried, but music has helped you feel less alone in it.

What you really want is a place to be held — just as you are.

Music therapy at Empower feels different — because you feel different here.

Sessions are responsive, expressive, and meaningful, while remaining grounded in evidence-based clinical care. Music therapy can support:

  • Preferred music is used intentionally to support the nervous system and promote comfort during moments of stress or overwhelm.

  • Creating space for slowing down, recovery, and relief from the constant activation of appointments, symptoms, and procedures. Sessions may use guided music experiences, mindfulness, and intentional listening.

  • Building gentle, repeatable coping tools that can be used during medical procedures, long days, or moments of discomfort.

  • Offering a nonverbal, creative way to process fear, grief, frustration, or uncertainty—without pressure to explain or “make sense” of it all.

  • Providing ways to express what may be difficult or impossible to put into language through sound, music, and presence.

  • Using music as a shared meaningful experience to help people feel less alone and more supported in what they are carrying.

You don’t have to do this alone. We’d love to be a part of your village

Sessions are offered in our clinic, in your home or virtually and are always tailored to you.

What does a session look like?

It depends on your age, support needs and goals.

  • For children, sessions often include movement, singing, and improvisation to reconnect with joy and process.

  • For adolescents, sessions may include songwriting, song discussion, and musical games to support expression and processing.

  • For adults, sessions often focus on listening, song discussion, music-making, or guided music experiences to support regulation, reflection, and emotional processing.

Sessions are always client-led and adapted to what feels most supportive that day.

Our Approach

  • We view neurological differences as a natural part of human diversity, not something to be fixed. Our work prioritizes regulation, autonomy, and quality of life without asking people to mask or change who they are.

  • We recognize that past experiences can shape how someone feels, responds, and engages in therapy. Our approach emphasizes safety, choice, predictability, and pacing that supports trust and nervous system regulation.

  • Each session is shaped around the client’s goals, strengths, and comfort level. We collaborate closely with clients and families and adapt as needs change, rather than following a rigid model.

  • We believe healing happens in relationship. Our work supports not only individuals, but also families, caregivers, and communities, helping people feel connected and supported beyond the therapy room.
